The seventh is a deceitfully long par-four. The bunker in the middle of the fairway appears to be reachable yet is over 300 yards from the back tee. The rough slopes towards the fairway, allowing players to miss either right or left off the tee and get a positive bounce back into the fairway. The premium is on the approach shot, which must carry a “river of sand” guarding the front of this bowled green. There are bail-out areas on the right and left of the green. Club selection on the approach is the key to scoring well here.
